Bloomingdale’s Pre-Sale

bloomingdales-sale-a bloomingdales-sale-b bloomingdales-sale-cWhat is the Pre-Sale?

Once in a while Bloomingdale’s puts out SALE tables and displays items that are about to go on SALE.  This is the Pre-Sale display.

The Pre-Sale display are items that are discounted (10-15% off).  Customers can purchase the items before they go on sale a small discounted price OR request for the Pre-Sale price then pick it up on the day of the actual SALE.

How does this work?

Example:
Kate Spade iPad Cover
MSRP $85
PRE-SALE $68 (20%)
SALE $32.64 (PRE-SALE PRICE – 40% – 20%)

A fatalist sale shopper, would browse through the products, pick the items he or she wants and then go back on the day of the sale to see if it’s there.  If it is, it’s meant to be.

It’s not exactly layaway but it’s a great opportunity for customers to get items at a lower cost.  Great time to shop if you’re looking for new accessories or if you just want to practice your math skills.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND 2013 – Bloomingdale’s Sale starts today August 29, 2013 (THURSDAY).

TIP: Next time you’re at Bloomingdale’s and you see the sale table displays politely ask the Sales Associate about the pre-sale price, sale price and when the actual sale is.  Browse through the items and choose wisely!
