The March 2014 issue of Oprah gives you a lot of tips on De-Cluttering!

There’s a great decision tree for clothes (What to keep and what to toss) and a collaboration with ebay.

Head over to your local bookstore or library to check it out or get yourself a copy.

Don’t forget your discounts:
Barnes and Noble Members get 10% off
Target Card users get 5%
Costco members 30% (If your local Costco branch sells magazines)

Or borrow from a friend 🙂

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target – Sold Out

September 16, 2013

target-plTarget launched the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection.  Another attempt to get design to the masses.

ABL was curious so she decided to check out a nearby Target after opening and was surprised to see a single rack.  The Target team members already stripping down the displays.

IMG_2321All the accessories were gone. It was like Black Friday. People were already lined up outside Target before the doors opened. Once doors opened, people rushed and grabbed whatever they could and headed over to the counter.

If you missed out and want to purchase some of the items, here are a few tips:
1. Check online after a few days. Shoppers may start returning a few items. What usually happens in events like these, shoppers rush to the opening, grab what they can and most likely have a better look at the items when they get home.
2. Amazon Market Place – Limited items and no bidding war like eBay.
3. Ebay – Similar to Amazon Market Place, not a good place for this kind of bargain. However if you consider your own time (hourly rate) more valuable then it might be worth it.

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target® Mini Satchel with Gusset – Yellow

MRSP: $34.99
EBAY PRICE: $60-$150
14621583_201309031612It’s still cheaper than getting one at Saks Fifth Avenue
$650 + tax and shipping

shoppingHopefully Target will learn from this experience with all the data they’re collecting and manage to have enough in stock for more than an hour for more customers to enjoy the products.

Resale Value

IMG_1720 Some items are worth purchasing because of their resale value.

Some designs are like pieces of art, just like this Kate Spade All Typed Up Bag.

Resale Value – The trade value of a good that has already been purchased. If the holder of the good wishes to resell the good to another party, this would be the amount of money that could be expected to be made from the transaction.
